Paws & Whiskers owns the role no competitor claims: the neighbourhood pet specialist who knows your animal by name — curated food for picky eaters and sensitive skin, grooming you can book today, and the kind of practical advice that a 18,000-SKU website can never give you.
Paws & Whiskers started because the question 'Is this food actually right for my dog?' kept getting a shrug at the big chains. Singapore has no shortage of pet shops with 15,000 SKUs and three-day delivery. What it was missing was a shop where someone could look at your cat's coat, ask two questions, and hand you the right bag — not the best-margin one.
We opened our doors in the neighbourhood because we live here too. Our customers are families with anxious rescue dogs, elderly cats with kidney sensitivities, and first-time rabbit owners who do not know the difference between Timothy and orchard grass. We stocked the shop around those real questions, not around what moves fastest off a pallet.
In 2026, Singapore pet owners are spending more on their animals and expecting more in return. We think that is right. A pet is not a logistics problem to be solved with a discount code — it is a living animal with specific needs. Our job is to know those needs better than any algorithm or catalogue can.
